The Antipode was produced by Maltex right before its 
venerable thug design.  The Antipode was created with 
balance in mind, designed to dish out large amounts of 
damage quickly, while remaining viable after its ammo was 
depleated.

Capabilities:
The LRM 20 is a fearsome weapon, and allows the 
antipode considerable long range capabilities, linked with 
the dual large lasers the Antipode can make almost any 
mechwarrior think twice before engaging.  because the 
large lasers have such great range with no short range 
penalty, the antipode can easily use them in tandem with 
the short range missile 6 launcher.  while the design is 
somewhat slow, the long range firepower is enough to 
keep its opponents occupied until it closes into short 
range.

Deployment:
The NTP-N2 Antipode was origionaly deployed in several 
units of the star league defence force, while most were 
destroyed durring the first succession war, several chassis 
were discovered in 3027 in a brian cache on planet in the 
federated commonwealth.
